The Heart of Sonoma Valley Association (HOSVA) announces its premier event of the year: 2016 Savor Sonoma Valley will take place Saturday & Sunday, March 19 & 20 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. (both days).

Nineteen wineries throughout Kenwood and Glen Ellen will be showcasing the 2015 vintage from barrels, sampling new releases, and offering award-winning wines paired with food creations prepared by local chefs and restaurants.

Meet winemakers, taste reserve wines, sample barrel wines, mingle with wine lovers in caves and on crush pads, enjoy live music, tour wineries and vineyards, and savor a wonderful wine country weekend. Most importantly, this event offers the chance to get an advance look at the 2015 vintage.

“This year, 19 incredible wineries will be participating in our premier event of the year!,” said executive director Josie Gay in a press release. “The much anticipated teaming up with local chefs and restaurants creates a truly special weekend of delicious foods paired with the amazing variety of wines produced in our valley. We invite wine lovers out to celebrate the bounty of Sonoma Valley!”

Participating wineries include: B Wise Vineyards Cellars, Chateau St. Jean Winery, Deerfield Ranch, Eric Ross Winery, Imagery Estate Winery, Kenwood Vineyards, La Rochelle Wines, Ledson Winery & Vineyards, Little Vineyards Family Winery, Loxton Cellars, Madrone Vineyards Estate, Manzanita Creek Winery, Mayo Family Winery, Muscardini Cellars, Orpheus Wines, Paradise Ridge Winery, St. Anne’s Crossing Winery, St. Francis Winery & Vineyards, and Ty Caton Vineyards.

Heart of Sonoma Valley Association is an alliance of 28 wineries and tasting rooms located on scenic Sonoma Highway, where for a century and a half many of the vintages that have made California wines world leaders in viticulture have been harvested. In their 10-mile stretch of the wine country, in the environs of Glen Ellen and Kenwood, you’ll find a blend of family-owned and classically beautiful wineries filled with award-winning wines.
