The Omni Homestead Resort

Front In Snow - Omni Homestead Resort
Year-Round Retreat in Hot Springs, Virginia

Since the 18th Century, the resort that is now known as The Omni Homestead Resort has been a premier destination—it first opened in 1766 and has welcomed 22 U.S. Presidents!

Two hot springs flow onto the 2,000-acre property, so you can soak in mineral waters just as President Thomas Jefferson did in 1818. If that doesn’t give you a vacation worth bragging about, you may be too hard to please.

Activities change seasonally, so while in winter you might enjoy the ice rink, in summer you could try the two-acre water park—rent a private cabana to enjoy exclusive poolside services while escaping from the kids on the water slides. There’s no reason to be bored.

If you’re the sort who is less interested in activity than pure pampering, then enjoy dining, relaxing at the Spa, or simply hanging out in your spacious, well-appointed guestroom or suite. Deep bathtubs, cushy yet supportive mattresses, and cozy upholstered seating make each room comfortable, whether your aim is to work, read, watch TV, play games, or sleep.

Great Hall at Omni Homestead ResortRoom 1902 at The Omni Homestead ResortThe overall vibe is an invitation to enjoy an above-average lifestyle. The grand façade is matched by the lobby décor. The charming setting is upstaged only by the Southern hospitality of staffers. Each employee seems more personable and helpful than the last. Staff members answer every question, though more often have anticipated your needs.

Omni has owned The Homestead since June 2013. “The property has benefited from becoming part of the Omni brand,” says one Virginia Tourism representative with first-hand knowledge of the property before and after the acquisition. “Omni has done a fabulous job there and has made The Homestead modern and cool without losing any of its historic charm. You probably noticed all of that.” Indeed, we did.

Don’t miss the lobby bar. Decorated with paintings of each U.S. President who has visited the Resort, it sets an elegant mood for savoring any libation.

Raise a toast to your good decision to visit The Omni Homestead Resort.
