There are many reasons to adore Georgia’s Jekyll Island. Westin Jekyll Island is just one of them.
One of the state’s Golden Isles on its Lowcountry coast, Jekyll is home to the Georgia Sea Turtle Center, a world-renowned hospital and research facility; Driftwood Beach, an other-worldly nature experience; more than 20 miles of continuous bike paths; golf courses; historic sites and trolley history tours to see them; modern shops, and much more. Jekyll Island is a peaceful place with a relaxed vibe that’s often referred to as “Georgia’s Jewel.”
Located near Jekyll Island Beach Village, Westin Jekyll Island is convenient to wherever you want to go on the island. Plus, it offers panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean and direct access to the beach—arguably, the island’s main attraction. The beach by the hotel is gorgeous, wide, clean.
Westin Jeykll Island can serve as an all-in-one beachside retreat. You might come here for the sort of vacation where you never get back into your car until you reluctantly have to leave or risk losing your job. Or you can utilize the hotel as a base site from which you go out to explore the island and perhaps even venture over to neighboring St. Simons Island. It’s easy to get in and out of the hotel’s parking lot, easy to find the hotel from the main road onto the island, easy to venture out on foot, bike or by car and find your way back.
Westin is the most popular brand of the Starwood Hotels & Resorts collection, especially known for its “Heavenly Bed” and “Heavenly Bath” offerings. As one hotel representative put it, “You should leave a Westin feeling better than when you arrived.” Add in the sleep-inducing sound of rhythmic ocean waves and this particular location is hard to beat.
The design scheme at this property incorporates natural elements and an oceanic color palate to create a relaxing environment with an authentic sense of place. Guestrooms are spacious, clean, boast great views, and offer conveniences like bedside lamps with electrical plug-ins for all of your electronics.
On-site dining options include The Reserve, an upscale casual restaurant that offers new American cuisine prepared using fresh, local ingredients. You can eat indoors or al fresco three meals a day, or order room service, try to the poolside bar, or grab a snack at the Westin Café (which serves Starbucks) on the main level.
Westin Jekyll Island is a comfortable retreat. Stay, and you won’t want to leave.
